Our programs encourage both soft and hard skills to spur participants to grow
into their fullest potential. We teach self-awareness, encourage self-expression,
bring new experiences and in so doing our participants gain a wider appreciation of the
world around them, the opportunity that awaits them an the impact their actions hold.

Future Self |
This is an inspirational cross continental video series were women of note from different professional backgrounds have come together to inspire the next generation of
women leaders in Zimbabwe Africa. The goal of the project is expose young girls growing up in this part of the world to real stories of women achievers as told by the women professionals themselves. These are stories of rising up against challenges, of choosing different career paths and how women can and are rising in the workplace. It is our hope that as they watch and hear from these high flyers they begin to paint a bigger brighter future for themselves and their communities as well, hence the name “future self”. Leading women from the United States of America pair up with local leading women to create inspirational presentations to empower the next generation of women leaders. |
Through G.D.I we have launched 6 mentoring clubs at 6 schools in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. The goal of the mentoring clubs is to put together a group of 15-20 young girls at each school, from disadvantaged neighbourhoods and over a period of one year mentor and train them in various life skills so as to unlock their leadership potential. In 2011 we began with 1 school and two years later we have 6 clubs at 6 schools. This year we have mentoring clubs at the following schools; Emakhandeni Secondary, Mpopoma High School, Cowdry Park Secondary, Pumula High School, Luveve High School and Montrose Girls High School. Altogether there are 95 girls in this program. They are receiving mentoring, life-skills training, stationery, project participation and financial assistance for the under privileged.

YouTalk |
YouTalk is short for Youths Talk. This is an exciting open dialogue platform where we get to talk with young people on issues that are pertinent to them and their immediate communities. We also use this platform to deliver motivational messages to high school students concerning their education and their future.
Through Youtalk we have manage to create a dialogue with over 3000 young people. |
In line with the vision of the organisation, of creating young community women leaders; the girls projects competition was created. Every girls' mentoring club is given a mandated to conceptualise, start-up and run a project that will positively impact their school or community. The goal is to help the girls in our programs to put into practical use the skill they would have acquired from G.D.I.
The competition culminates with a presentation ceremony of the UN day of the girl child, where the most outstanding projects are recognised. |
